On Site Backup is a utility to run an automatic, on-site backup of your cloud-based data in an efficient manner. Most Backup programs backup your data to off-site storage, which is great to have a second Copy in case of theft, fire or accidental changes. On Site Backup is designed for reverse backups — where your primary copy is already off-site and you want to make a copy on-site.
On Site Backup makes a backup of three types of data: MySQL database tables, FTP files and a computer`s mapped Directory. You use On Site Backup to create Backup sets. You can have as many Backup Sets as you want, and turn them on or off as you need. At the time you specify, On Site Backup can Zip compress your old backup, download your data (it compares the files with a Previous Backup Cache to make backups faster), giving you one dated folder with your nightly backup, a list of what was included (or not included) and report any errors. If you want, it can then trash the oldest backups, keeping only the latest.
